Mystic Messenger

Mystic Messenger is the third game officially released by Cheritz, on 8th of July 2016. It is Cheritz’s first mobile game, which is played in real time over the course of about 11 days, with chatrooms that unlock only at fixed times of the day. The game contains no minigames or any complicated objectives, but simply revolves around presenting the player with text-based interactions with the characters and allowing them to respond by choosing from a couple of limited dialogue options.

There are as many as seven love interests for the player to pursue, and each love interest has seven different endings (not counting the after-endings) determined by which responses to the interactions with the characters that the player chooses, as well as how many. Aside from the main eleven day long story mode, there is also a variety of DLC games to choose from too, which also have their own endings and intricacies as well.

The main story centers on the RFA (Rika’s Fundraising Association), which is a small charity organisation whose founder has passed away and its members are trying to pick up the pieces in her absence. When the player character stumbles into their chatroom thanks to a mysterious hacker, the members begin preparing for their first charity event since the loss of Rika. The player is tasked with inviting people to the upcoming party whilst juggling both blossoming romances with the other members on top of unfolding the mystery behind the hacker and Rika’s real whereabouts.
