Main Characters
ZEN
ZEN, or Hyun Ryu, is the first pursuable love interest in Mystic Messenger, and a member of the RFA. He is a musical theatre actor and his role in the RFA is as a celebrity endorsement for the charity. He ran away from home to pursue his dream of becoming an actor, and first blew up online after 707 released a popular edit of him and his acting on the equivalent of YouTube. His defining characteristics include his interest in his own looks and in beautiful women, but what should most importantly be noted about his character is the mysterious psychic dreams he has that always seem to come true in one way or another.
Yoosung Kim
Yoosung is another of the five love interests available in Mystic Messenger and joined the RFA because he is Rika, the founder's, cousin. He is currently still a student of SKY University, and is the youngest member of the organisation. His hobby is playing video games and loves the in-universe game LOLOL, a reference to League of Legends, and he is the most optomistic, childlike and impressionable, often falling for 707's pranks.
Jaehee Kang
Jaehee is the third of the three love interests from the casual story route of the game, and joined the RFA because she is the personal assistant to Jumin, so she takes on a lot of secretarial tasks within the charity. She is a very straightforward and professional 'no nonsense' woman, but her one weakness is her love for Zen's musicals.
Jumin Han
Jumin is one of the love interests available in the deep story and uses his status and wealth as the heir of a conglomerate for the good of the RFA, bringing money and connections towards the good cause. He is a very practical and logical man who tends to be oblivious towards popular culture, but has a deep love for his cat, Elizabeth the 3rd, which he got from the late Rika.
707
707 is another of the deep story routes and is in charge of security and programming of the RFA's sensitive information. He is incredibly eccentric, playful and light-hearted, and enjoys playing pranks on other members. His route is recommended to be completed after all other routes, as his holds the most story and lore, which might confuse players who have not completed any other route.
Unknown
Unknown, the first character we are introduced to, is the catalyst for the entire game, and introduces the player to the RFA. He becomes a pursuable love interest in the 'another story' section of the game, which reveals more about his personality and motivations.
V
V is the current leader of the RFA at the time of the beginning of the game. He is Jumin'ss childhood friend and was dating Rika before she passed away. He is a talented photographer and usually sells his photos at auctions in the RFA parties. V is also a potential love interest in another story.
Rika
Rika is the original founder of the RFA, a kind and beautiful woman who always felt for those in need. She created the RFA as a result of her selfless need to help others, and everyone who knew her mourned the loss of her genuine kindness greatly. Although she only appears mostly in flashback scenes, her character haunts the entire narrative, and the player can feel the effects of her loss in every character in the entire game.
