The Basics

Dandelion is a game with two different modes: stat-raising and visual novel. The visual novel mode is where the actual story of the game takes place, and is determined by how the player performs in the stat-raising mode. The player must increase Heejung's femininity, beauty and artistic stats while keeping on top of the stress and pressure stats.

Every in-game day, the player can take part in one activity, and each activity has their own effect on the different stats. Typically, stats that decrease stress will increase pressure, and activities that decrease pressure will typically increase stress. Because of that, the player has to know how to balance every stat, on top of pursuing their love interest of choice.

If the pressure and/or stress stats get too high, the game will present the player with a bad ending where Heejung's classmate confesses to her instead of the five main love interests. This will also happen if other stats are not high enough either.

What you also need to do to achieve a good ending is to keep the femininity, beauty and artistic stats to the other characters' liking, as well as increasing a 'love meter' by interacting with the character of your choice more. You can find out their stat preferences by right-clicking and checking the character's profile. You should ensure that you are increasing their 'love meter' as much as you can, and check that your other stats are also satisfactory for them.

As long as you have all of the correct stats raised at the right times, there should be nothing stopping you from achieving every character's good ending. You can do activities other than the tasks available at home though to help you if you are struggling: if you choose to go to work, you can gather enough money to buy items that will increase/decrease stats as you like. Not only that, but the game has very simple save, load, and quick save, quick load mechanics that make it easy to return to previous saves if you are struggling or accidentally reach a bad ending.

How To Reach The Good Ending

To find the secret route of the game, all of the good endings of the five love interests must have been already completed. Jieun's route thankfully has no bad ending for it, so is especially easy, although it is advised to be played last for narrative reasons. Narrative aside though, any route other than the secret route can be played at any time, in any order, as long as the character the player wishes to pursue has had their 'love meter' increased enough before the end of the common route.

You will know that the love meter is high enough once you can see a heart next to their animal icon at the bottom of the screen during stat raising mode. You will know that you have successfully unlocked their route when the character you are pursuing is the first animal to come to life in visual novel mode.
