Cheritz Meta: Fan Events

The Cheritz community is known to be quite small, but its fans can be passionate and loud to make up for it! To bring people together and to bring in more love for Cheritz, there have been many different fan-led events held centered on the Cheritz company, some of which are still ongoing today! These range from appreciation weeks to tournaments to fanzines and more!

Cheritz Appreciation Week

Cheritz Appreciation Week was a fan event established in 2016 to generate fanart and fanfiction as a show of appreciation to Cheritz.

Fan Tournaments

Fan tournaments are events in which characters, ships or games are pitted against each other, where fans vote through 1-1 polls to determine the winner. These tournaments are usually themed on categories such as "Tumblr sexyman" or "himbo", and fans vote to determine who fits that criteria the most.

Roleplay Blogs

Roleplay blogs are blogs in which fans will choose a character/s to pretend to act as, and are generally used for a collaborative style of fanfiction where fans interact with the blog as if they were speaking to the character, sometimes as a different character themselves.

Submission Blogs

Submission blogs icnlude any blogs where fans submit their own ideas and content to be published, anonymously or not, to the creator. These mostly include confession blogs, where fans usually submit anonymous confessions about their opinions on the source content, though these can also include shitpost blogs, which revolve around creating edits, jokes, memes and lighthearted content about the canon or fandom.

Fanzines

Fanzines are small publications that can include a variety of different fan content, but can be summarised as a work that multiple fans collaborate on that is usually in the style of a magazine, including things like art, comics or fanfiction.

Anniversaries and Birthdays

Anniversaries and birthdays include dates significant to the company and fandom, including the anniversaries of when the games were released, as well as character birthdays. Many of the Mystic Messenger and Ssum characters have canon birthdays, whereas the Dandelion and Nameless characters do not, so these characters' birthdays may be invented and celebrated by fans to create fanon birthdays.
